Fear is a feeling which every one of us has in us. It’s faced by every human. If you are dealing with fear, you don’t have been scared as it’s a very natural feeling. According to Buddhism there is healthy fear and unhealthy fear. The difference between the both is; healthy fear is when a person is afraid of falling sick or becoming unhealthy and so gives up alcohol, smoking, etc. Whereas unhealthy fear means when we are afraid of things which cannot really harm us like cockroaches, insects, dogs cats, etc.
Fear are of many types like one can have a fear of losing his loved ones, fear of failure, fear of commitment, fear of breaking someone’s heart , etc. The list of types of fear is endless. Dealing with fear is a big issue in this society as it is faced by maximum number of people today. There is a type of fear which is called balanced fear. This kind of fear is very good for a person as it helps avoid and even get rid of problems which are very harmful.
That’s why fear not always means bad it also has its positive side. There are people who fear heights, loud music, darkness, getting trapped even death.
Dealing with fear of death is a strong issue. There are people who are always concern and are afraid of getting trapped in a place unknown to them. In this case it’s very natural to get afraid but one must overcome the fear by not getting panic.
Likewise even people face fear of old age. Dealing with such a fear can be very good for one’s health and body. When a person gets the fear of old age he/she might start taking care of their health, diet, they would even start going for regular health checkups. Which indeed will turn to be a healthy fear for a person? Taking care of your body is very important today.
