It is a fact: you are a goal setting machine!
If you aren’t working on your own goals, you are almost certainly working on someone else’s.
To prove this, if you currently don’t have any goals set.. stop right now and think about who’s goals you are actually working on?
Your managers? Your parents? Your partners?
I’d like to challenge you to set your own - right now.
Why should you do that you might ask?
There are heaps of benefits of setting your own goals:
You’ll save time by being far more productive!
Time is precious and you’ll not be wasting a minute with a goal that you’ve set.
The beggar and millionaire both have the same amount of hours in the day but they choose different ways to spend it! May be you’d like to ponder this thought when you are next struggling for time.
You’ll take control of your life and stay on track!
Setting goals helps you to determine what needs to be done and when and firstly gets you thinking about what you want from your life and going all out for getting them.
You’ll get yourself out of that rut…
Boredom will no longer be apparent as you’ll be continuously taking action on your own goals.. leading to a hugely more fulfilling life! You’ll discover what you’re really capable of once you focus on it!
Your actions will match your talk
How much better will that feel for you? People will understand where you are coming from and give you help to get what you want! When you have a solid list of goals, you will always be prepared. There will never be a question about tasks or appointments. You will know exactly what needs to be done and when.
You focus on the important things
Not to just anyone but to YOU!
You’ll get more things done in a fair amount of time, rather than wasting precious moments trying to figure out what hasn’t been done yet.
You’ll feel so much happier
Setting goals can totally eliminate the stress factor from your life. When are you most stressed? It’s probably when you are unsure of what lies ahead. You can throw that stress right out the window simply by setting a few goals for yourself.
